LOCAL MANAGER TAKES OVER AS NEW TENANT

The Manager of the Robin Hood Inn, Pecket Well, Hebden Bridge. Paul Turner has recently
taken over as the new tenant from David Piece of Huddersfield.
The Punch Pub Company approached Paul before Easter insisting he was the man to take
the pub forward, knowing the pub needed a local figure to head things and they don’t come
any more local than Paul, who can boast of actually being born in the Hebden.

Paul started his pub career at Armitage Fold WMC (Monkey Club) at the early age of 21
when he became the Club Steward. Paul spent just over 13 months at The Monkey Club
before being appointed Club Steward back home in Hebden at The Hebden Bridge Sports &
Social Club (HBSSC). Paul spent 2 1/2 years running his local club before deciding to
turn his hand to Management. This took him to Scottish & Newcastle Breweries where he
became a Relief Manager for Guynne Howells, in his 6 years as a Relief Manager Paul became
very experienced in running all types pf pubs across the Country. Ranging from small quite
Village pubs to very busy and loud City Centre venues, Paul gained a vast experience in
many different Products, Pubs and more importantly People.

Paul then became settled and based his Managerial experience running The Bay Horse at
Oxenhope until his good friend & golfing companion Stanley Natynczyk realised he needed
somebody of Paul’s popularity to come and finish his working career off by running
The Robin Hood Inn for him. Paul did this, the pub went from strength to strength and
Stanley was aptly due to Retire to sunny Spain.
Now Paul is looking forward to building the business by advertising the Highly
Recommended Accommodation where he has 5 letting bedrooms, keeping up the High Standard
of Home Made Food keeping up also with the Quality of one of The Best Pints of Real Ale
in the Valley.

Paul is looking forward to continue support of his Locals and Invite New Customer
along too, where they can sample his Homemade Food & Ales also Good Company.

We still hold the odd Disco on a Saturday Evening.
